GRUPO JUMEX is committed to the environment
March 26, 2021
March 21 doesn't just mark the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The International Day of Forests, an event conceived by the UN (United Nations Organization) to highlight the importance of the planet's forest areas, will also be celebrated around the world.
Forests are the most diverse terrestrial ecosystems, where more than 80% of animal and plant species are housed, but the most relevant thing is that more than one billion people depend directly on forests for their food, shelter, energy and income.
For this reason for Grupo Jumex since its inception, the conservation of the environment has been a priority and aware of the co-responsibility that we have as a company in Sustainability , today it is an integral part of our operation being a pride, to be able to work together with our entire chain of value.
We have worked hand in hand with producers from the Mexican countryside, maintaining a close relationship to promote the adoption of environmentally responsible technologies, such as the installation of biofactories that generate agricultural inputs from organic elements in the states of Veracruz, Chihuahua and Aguascalientes.
An example of this type of initiative is the reforestation of 19 hectares in the Valley of Mexico on the slopes of Iztaccíhuatl, carried out by the company's collaborators.
Grupo Jumex joins the International Day of Forests celebration this March 21st as a company committed not only to Mexico and Mexican forests but to the entire planet, in a joint effort to save and protect them.
